Letter to the Editor WDL: Unite the GOP-by Kevin Crouch

February 20, 2008 by ellisco4huckabee

This is a Letter to the Editor that Kevin Crouch wrote to the Waxahachie Daily Light last week:

To the Editor,I am a long time Mike Huckabee supporter, but the recent poll numbers and primary results have shown that no matter what happens, John McCain will win the Republican nomination. I have heard talk from conservatives that a no-show is in the works to protest McCain’s nomination. Others talk about voting for third parties or a write-in. This is the worst mistake to make on election day, other than voting for the Democratic nominee.

On March 4, we must vote for John McCain and guarantee him the 140 winner-take-all delegates Texas offers. The quicker we guarantee him the nomination, the longer we have to unite as a party and win over the conservative independent voters. If we keep Mike Huckabee in the race, we will suffer the same division that faces and endangers the Democratic Party.

We must also pledge to vote for John McCain in November, because a vote for a third party, write-in or a no-show is as good as voting for the Democratic Party. We need to put our differences aside and unite as Republicans to keep the radical liberals at bay and make sure tax hikes and a disaster in Iraq are safely confined in the dreams of the Democratic candidate. We must support John McCain with full effort all the way to convention. A victory in Texas would help ensure a victory on Nov. 8 in the general election. No politician is perfect, but we must stand behind the candidate who can beat the Democratic nominee.

Mike Huckabee vs. The World

February 13, 2008 by ellisco4huckabee

Here is how the Republican National Convention is shaping up:

John McCain’s votes will be big. Obviously.

Mitt Romney supporters are pledged to vote for him (even though he dropped out) in the first round. This means the Conservative vote is STILL split.

It seems now like Mike Huckabee’s chances are just about gone. But mark my words: We will not give up without a fight, without strongly representing the Conservative Republicans all across America, and without showing the Republicans how Liberal John McCain is so we can watch him ever so closely in his 4 year term.

Now we must hope that Mike Huckabee will start a grassroots movement (similar to the one Newt Gingrich started) that will turn into a Presidential bid in 2012. I hope Mike Huckabee does not endorse McCain or any other candidate, and does not look for or accept any positions in McCain’s cabinet.

As for this site: This site will stay on until Convention or Mike Huckabee suspends his campaign or drops out, whichever comes first, and will remain in support of Mike Huckabee until the very end.

We all must remain loyal to the Republican Party as true Conservatives, even as we check the name of John McCain on the ballot. We must unite to defeat Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama, whichever the Democrats pull out of the two-candidate race (Mike Gravel-who?). We must remain loyal also to our moral conservative values as we attempt to turn the Republican Party around.

I am not encouraging anyone at this point to leave Mike Huckabee’s campaign, but I am using this post to prepare everyone for what could be a rocky Chesapeake Primary and rest of the campaign until November. I want everyone to be ready for the coming challenges and let-downs, with all logical considerations on the table. I believe in miracles, just as it was with Ronald Reagan in his nomination.

A note to Mike Huckabee: Please don’t let all the true Conservatives down. Please continue this race for the sake of true moral values and Conservative Republicans. Create a movement within the Republican Party that can put the party back on the right tracks.

We need you at this time. We need all Conservative Republicans to band together at this time of uncertainty in our party and our nation.

Governor vs. Ranger: The Battle for Texas

February 11, 2008 by ellisco4huckabee

Everyone knows that Chuck Norris can slam a revolving door, and that he can kill two stones with one bird.

“Chuck norris doesn’t endorse…he tells America how it’s gonna be.” Mike Huckabee said in the “Chuck Norris Approved” add released when the endorsement was announced.

But in Norris’ native Texas, another popular figure, Governor Rick Perry, is playing politics with Huckabee as a part of John McCain’s Liberal takeover of the Republican Party. If you remember, Perry endorsed Rudy Giuliani (no doubt wishing for a VP bid), but after Giuliani endorsed McCain, Perry took the opportunity and has now joined the Left side of the race for the Republican Nomination.

Rick Perry is remembered in Texas for being the one-man stand for the Trans-Texas Corridor and his lack of action on Immigration (which we can now better understand). There is no doubt in my mind that Rick Perry will try his best to turn Texans against the true Conservative Mike Huckabee.

First, as we have already reported, Rick Perry asked Mike Huckabee to drop out of the race, and Mike faithfully declined. Now Perry is trying to convince the Mike Huckabee campaign that Texans will support John McCain, but Texas is not Liberal Land, Rick! Texas is the epicenter of the Conservative movement in America; the reddest state in the Nation, and Mike Huckabee has a lot of support 1. because he is an authentic conservative and 2. he is supported by Chuck Norris.

Chuck Norris, no doubt, is the asset that will win Texas for the Huckabee Camp on March 4th. There’s no doubt in my mind, especially now that Mitt Romney is out of the race and no longer splitting the Conservative vote.

Note to Rick Perry: If you feel like your state has turned against you…it hasn’t. YOU TURNED AGAINST YOUR STATE!

Oh, and Rick…it’s not a good idea to be across the ballot from Chuck Norris’s candidate…just a tip…

President Bush defends John McCain, Liberal Republicans

February 10, 2008 by ellisco4huckabee

President Bush, in what really seems like an endorsement-under-cover, defended Sen. John McCain, saying that he is a “true conservative”. The President also said “I think that if John is the nominee, he has got some convincing to do to convince people that he is a solid conservative and I’ll be glad to help him if he is the nominee.”

If you have to work that hard to convince the Conservative Base that you are Conservative, you probably aren’t. If you look like it, act like it, and sound like it, that’s probably what you are, and John McCain looks, sounds, acts, and sounds like a Liberal Republican.

Let’s face it: The Republican Party has split right down the middle: the Right Wing is following Mike Huckabee, the Left Wing behind McCain. It’s like two parties are fighting each other, and one will eventually win. Yes, the media is trying to convince the Nation that the Liberal Republicans have already won and the Conservative Republicans don’t stand a chance, but, as a member of the movement, I will assure you: THE CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS WILL NOT GIVE UP WITHOUT A FIGHT.

As President Abraham Lincoln said, “A house divided against itself cannot stand”. If the Republican Party remains divided, we have no chance of securing a win in November. We must rally around Conservative Values and convince the Liberal Republicans that we must have a true Conservative-not the kind Bush calls true, but really a true Conservative-can clean up the country and fix the damage done by and left from Bill Clinton and the two Bush administrations.

Some (namely Ron Paul supporters) want to use the division to take over the party, and with that, we will become much of what we never wanted to become, much of what we are trying to avoid with Conservative principals, and, most likely, Libertarianism will begin to take over.

We’ve got to fix this and stop the Liberal Republicans like George W. Bush, John McCain, Rick Perry, Rudy Giuliani, and others like them. We must rely on Conservative Republicans like Fred Thompson, Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo and Mike Huckabee to bring our Party back to what it set out to be and must be to make America a better Nation.

John McCain: The Double Talk Express

February 10, 2008 by ellisco4huckabee

If you see the “Straight Talk Express”, just know that there’s another one just like it with different speeches in it.

John McCain: On The Issues…both times

 Iraq:

“The success will be fairly easy. I believe we can win an overwhelming victory in a very short period of time.”

Then in January 2007 he said “The American People were lead to believe that this would be some kind of a day at the beach, which many of us understood from the beginning would be a very difficult undertaking.”

The Confederate Flag:

January 9, 2000, John McCain said “The Confederate Flag is offensive in many ways, as we all know. It’s a symbol of Racism and Slavery.”

January 12, 2000: “Personally, I see the Confederate Flag as a symbol of heritage.”

The Religious Right:

John McCain once said: “Neither party, should be difined by pandering to the outraches of American Politics and the agents of intolerance, wether they be Louis Farican or Al Sharpton on the left, or Pat Robinson or Jerry Falwell on the right.”

He later said, when asked if he still believed that Jerry Falwell was an “Agent of intolerance”, he said “No I don’t”, and spoke at Jerry Falwell’s Liberty University.

Gay Marriage:

When asked if Gay Marriage should be allowed, he said ” I think that Gay Marriage should be allowed if there’s a ceremony kind-of thing, if you want to call it that, I don’t have any problem with that…”

11 MINUTES LATER HE SAID” I believe if people want to have private ceremonies, it’s fine. I do not believe Gay Marriage should be legal.” Boos and some applause followed…

When asked on This Week with George Steph. if he as against civil unions for gay couples, he answered “No, I am not-I bel-but the-that-that” as he studdered through his answer.

We didn’t like John Kerry because he flip-flopped. We didn’t like Romney because he flip-flopped. I don’t like John McCain because he flip-flopped!

Governor Rick Perry calls for Mike to call it quits

February 10, 2008 by ellisco4huckabee

Governor Rick Perry, a supporter of Giuliani (now a McCain supporter), called for Mike Huckabee to drop out of the race, following in the traditions of the Liberal Republicans he works with on the campaign trail.

Mike isn’t going to budge, especially at the word of a Liberal Republican who calls Rudy Giuliani the best choice for President.

We must tell our Governor that Mike will stay in no matter what he may say. I do not believe this will change results on March 4th, since not many Texans like him in the first place.

Stand up and make March 4th a day of victory!

Breaking News: Mike Huckabee wins Kansas!

February 9, 2008 by ellisco4huckabee

With 65% of precincts reporting, Mike Huckabee is the projected winner with 61% of the vote, with John McCain trailing far behind with 24%! Ron Paul only recieved 11%.

This is a strong victory for Mike Huckabee, as Kansas gives 36 delegates.

The best prize in this Kansas win is not just the delegates, but the momentum. This shows that Mike Huckabee has a strong following with Mitt Romney no longer splitting the conservative base.

No doubt Mike’s CPAC speech this morning was a big help!
